The Ancient Greek and Roman Art department at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in welcoming Anne Carson as this season’s Estelle Shohet Brettman Memorial Lecture speaker.
The presentation, titled “A Rustle of Catullus”, will discuss Catullus in relation to contemporary artist Cy Twombly, adding to the new and exciting inter-departmental exhibition “Making Past Present: Cy Twombly”, which combines modern art with the antiquities that inspired them.
The lecture will be held on January 29th from 2-3pm at the Remis Auditorium in the Museum of Fine Arts. The museum is inviting members of the International Catacomb Society, and have reserved tickets, free of charge, for members who wish to attend.
